This article is very well written and is meaningful. Not only for Indians living in India, but its quite helpful for the understanding of sexual encounters for Indians living/born abroad. Not having sex before marriage doesn't have to be based on religious aspects or other standards and values (which seems like a trap to many and they want to break it), it can be seen otherwise as well - like the psychological aspects of it and the consequences of having sex with someone you are not sure about or if you feel any kind of insecurity in the relationship. Furthermore, it has a lot to do with the upbringing of an individual, which has a great impact on our individual choices which forces us to think/be someone we never wanted to be. So on the other hand, you cant blame people who consider it very normal to have sex before marriage.
