Ms. Ribak's views on marriage and sex coincide with the Christian world view. She definitely is NOT old fashioned, nor is she a prude. She is just following the Biblical injunction for a sexually pure and wholesome lifestyle.
I do not know Ms. Ribak's religious affiliation. I am also not saying that religions other than Christianity do not have a code of morals for a clean and wholesome life.
As a Christian, I can boldly say that the Bible, the Word of God condemns sex outside of marriage (adultery), as well as sex prior to marriage (fornication).
The consequences of violating God's laws on sexual morality has been devestating, especially in Western nations. Research conducted by secular experts conclude that sexual immorality has resulted in high divorce rates, an epidemic of sexually transmitted diseases etc. Marital breakdown has resulted is millions of dysfunctional single-parent families. Research has shown that families without fathers are more likely to result in children who are in trouble academically and with the law.
Hats off to Ms. Ribak for sticking to her convictions. God will honor and bless her.
