I got Sony DAV S300 in 1982. It is good and gives the desired effects. Compact, with digital amplifier and compact speakers it delivers 30 Watts crystal clear sound through each of the six speakers, totalling 180 Watts RMS. More than enough poiwer for our sized rooms. However for new buyers i recommend that whichever system they are buying, make sure the amplifier is digital and not analogue for desired clarity and quality. High wattage digital home theatre system becomes meaningless unless you have a very large hall. A good 200watts system will more than suffice.
