HTIB-1000 from Yamaha is a entry level home theater in a box consisting of a DVD player, amplifier, five cube sized speakers and a sub-woofer. For about US$ 900(Rs. 40,000), custom duty not included, this is quite a decent package. The sound is pretty good for cube size speakers. It does not handle DVD-Audio, but rest of all other discs are OK. There are array of surround settings. Good bargain. Yamaha does have more in the range and high end systems also but cost higher also.
However, if you are going for Yamaha, do not pick up used/reconditioned or Asian models. Theey may be scaled down version. If possible, go for the UK market versions. This assures quality and good parameters also.
