People can invest about 7000 and walk away with absolutely good quality Altec Lansing 5.1 or Logitech 5.1 providing about 75W RMS Sound.
this investment is defnitely better than offer by philips , samsung, sony etc in the range of 35 -40 K, if you dont believe just drop in near your dealer and experience yourself.

I do agree.. Altec Lansing makes fantastic speakers. But, I am little unhappy with their Bass effects. Some how I feel, Philips's LX-700 (now, I think it is available as LX-600 but, from china make.) had pretty good freq. response. at both extremeties.
