For my Living Room of approx 300 sft, the following configuration has worked out fairly well.
1) Sony DVD Player (5-DVD Changer) 2) Sony DE-597 5.1 Amp with Surround Back 3) Bose AM6 5.1 Speaker System 4) Polk Audio RM98 Centre Channel Speaker.
The Centre Channel of Bose has a very weak and requires a separate centre channel to hear the dialogues clearly. Polk and Sony CH550 have reasonably good centre channels.
