People should start both recurring deposits in bank and same amount of sip in mf. that will reduce your risk even if you loose certain amount of money you can recover it through recurring deposits

An individual can start investing in S.I.P.

with a view to fulfil their children's education.

For eg. if son is studying in 7th standard, they

can opt for S.I.P. for 5 years. The amount will

received after the child completes his/her +2, so

that the lumpsum amount will be utilised for college

studies.
