hello i hav checked out usnews.com but cant understand which university is good . but however can u say universities name abt 6-7 gud ones. im plannin 2 do masters related 2 mechanical engg. kidnly reply me sooon bcoz am plannin 2 write gre in 2 weeks time mail me at ameer_4_u@rediffmail.com waitin anxiously for ur replies !

If you want to do a course based MS, then there won't be much difference between your choice of universities. However, if you want to do a thesis option, then your choice of specialization should dictate your choice of univerities. Can you elaborate on which subject (specialization) you want to do your MS in Mechanical Engineering?

It is not Important which universities are good, important is that what GRE score you are expecting and also your acadamics. Plan to apply in universities which fit into your GRE score. I am telling you a few good universities for GRE 1400+ universities, Penn state, Vanderbilt, Univ of Maryland at College Park, UIC, U Penn, SUNNY Buffalo, U of Michigan at Ann Arbor and many more.
