by Abhinav Saurabh on Aug 09, 2006 02:19 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Hi,
I have an IELTS(International English Language Testing system) score of 7.5. I would be applying to the Graduate Program in US Universties for the Fall 2007 session. I would like to know about the accepatabilty of IELTS in comparison to the TOEFL in US Universities. Do I have to appear for TOEFL also?

Regards,
Abhinav

You will have to take TOEFL for sure even though IELTS and TOEFL fall on the same lines. Just in case, If you have shortlisted the Univ's you are planning to apply for, send an email to Int'l Admissions Dept. and see If they can waive off TOEFL for you.

Yes, the IELTS scores are readily accepted by a score of US College University for Graduate Program. Browse www.rmu.edu, www.chatham.edu, wwwlaroche.edu, www.duq.edu..
