I am a spring 2007 aspirant..I am yet to receive my i20..But I have already found that there r no visa slots till Feb-2007.. at the chennai consulate..its the same case with emergency slots too..wht shall i do..

Keep checking the availability of slots and sometimes, the cancelled appointments will open up. Otherwise, try contacting the consulate and find out what other options you do have. They might arrange extra slots in other consulates like Delhi.

Yes, you have to go to VFS website and take an emergency appointment. If you use this service, make sure you have a valid reason.

Well you can still proceed with your Visa appointment after Feb. If you dont get your I20 on time you can always "Defer" your admission to Fall-2007. That way you have a better chance. -sam

Contact the consulate and check whether you can apply in the Kolkata, Mumbai or Delhi consulates. Tell them about your situation.
