F 2 Visa
by Amitkumar on Aug 19, 2006 09:10 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

I want to really ask. My wife has gone to US on F1 Visa. She has got TA with full tuition waiver. She is also offered RA in her offer letter.

Can I go on F2 visa. Is it so that husbands on F2 visas are everytime rejected or it is for individual case...

Please answer...

You can go on an F-2 visa. However, your spouse will have to show suficient funds to get an I-20 in your name from the University. The university will provide your details about minimum financial requirements. Also, you have to pay for spouse health insurance, which would be around double of what you would be paying as a student.
