It is a good decision. The students should not neglect the XII standard. Unfortunately, BITS has also fallen a prey to this entrance fever. Earlier, the best students securing high marks in XII standard were automatically admitted in BITS. It is now through entrance and many coachin centres have started BITS coaching also. IIT should increase the marks to 75 per cent instead of 60 per cent with 5% less for SC/ST students. 60% is nothing. Other decisions are good.
