I have deposited Rs70000 in the month of Feb 2010. and i got only Rs 933 as a interest i thought i will get 8% interest as interest is calculated on 10th March. Could anyone inform me when i should deposit 70000 to get exact 8% interest i.e is Rs 5600.

Mr Singha, You have got interest of 933 only as it is calculated for Feb Mar of 2010 (financial years ends 31-March of each year). So for you to have reater interests try desposoting the PPF contribution on any date in April, this will help.
