ppf details

Respected sir,

i joined newly into a job.my income was over 0ne lack rupees.but i don't want to pay tax.one of my friends suggested invest ur amount in PPF.but i don't know any thing about ppf.can u send details about it or resources from where i can get.

Hi,

You can have PPF account on your father and mother name.

But max. amount can be invested / year is 70,000 /-.

So if you have 3 accounts then u can invest 2,10,000/- (70,000/- per account)

You can invest in their account in cash.

But you can only get tax benifit of 70,000/- for tax calculation.
