Pretentious stuff
by Raj on Jul 02, 2005 10:50 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Ahh, some trainer out with ideas again, on how to be successful. We all wish to be successful and rich and happy and on top of the world. And we spend all our lives trying to be successful and rich and happy and on top of the world. Sadly however, in 20 years time we would reliase that stuff like this is nothing but drivel. Look back at the year 2000; in all probability you were equally miserable then. Has anything made you happy? Six soft steps? Ten soft steps?

To be successful, you just need to be content with yourself. Find your passion and keep it. Your success depends on you, not on six steps or ten steps. Business etiquette and social grace are nothing but sycophancy, perhaps more ornamental in form, but an equal evil. Better disguised, but definitely evil. Trying to be nice to someone you don't like?
Articles such as these are adverts. Don't let stuff like this trick you. You will end up cheating yourself, and perhaps will be worse off than you are now. There is no need to spend your lives pleasing all the people around you. You live for yourself, not for them.
