How to sell shares profitabily.
by DINESH ARORA on Jun 21, 2005 01:16 PM   Permalink

It's been only 2 months since I entered the market & my experience simply states that

1. One must fix the upper limit at which one could sell their holdings. This upper limit is crucial from every individual's point of view.

2. If possible then one must not try to go for stop less selling rather one could wait for QTR. to QTR. basis.

3. It's the only place where you earn fast you lose fast, may be few minutes in the market's life is big duration.Hence, one will have to be patient & look for the opportunity to sell.

4. One must also not give due importance to SENSEX as this index only represents very few shares as compared to shares traded in the market hence one should always believe in the stocks if they have invested on their own .

In those two months I could have booked lot of profits but due to bad timing, I sold some shares earlier only for the sake of booking some profit rather than holding on to it & in some cases I held on to some shares which I should have sold.

Thanks
