Marketing Vs. Finance
by Vidhya on Jul 20, 2005 10:46 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Hi,

My name is Vidhya. Iam working as Executive-Client Relations in a Pvt Company in Chennai.I have finished 4 years Advanced Diploma course in Business Management from TASC (The Ashram School of Careers)and have two years of work experience.Iam 24 years old. My contact number is 9840692778.

As most people said, it all depends on what kind of person you are and what is your area of strength.

But given an option to me, I would prefer marketing to finance, since marketing is one field, which is really lively, and the amount of satisfaction one derives after getting a deal is really great. But, a marketing person must know how to convince a customer, for which he should be convinced about the product first. Even to sell a financial product, you would require marketing skills. This is one field wherein all aspects of management have to be put into action. The pay scale is more or les the same for both marketing and finance.

But ultimately one has to decide where he/she will fit into.

"Your future depends on many things, but mostly on you."

Note: Already i have posted my opinion through my yahoo and rediff mail accounts. So please ignore those.
