This is a attitude that i see in a lot of people in the other industries. For your information people working in a call centre also grow, they do become Team Leaders / Managers, they can get into quality, training or in some cases even in HR, Admin and so on, and the salaries of managers can range from 6 lacs to 8 lacs p.a. plus incentives and other benefits which in there own are mind boggling. The opportunites in a call centre are even better if not at par with the other industries. The only problem is to make sure you join a reputed company as i do predict a shake down within the industry in the next 5/6 years thats when only the big players will be left standing. I think Ms. Sheth needs to get her bearings right. Does she realize the kind of investment the bpo industry is bringing into the country? I'm sorry if i seem to be too agressive, but people must realize that by bad mouthing this industry they give it a negative outlook which we really don't need. Instead if the so called experts concentrated on a way to bring the attrition rate of this industry under control you may see that this id the best thing to happen to this country ever.
