Herbal Remedies.
by Amit on Aug 19, 2005 12:01 AM   Permalink

I just wanted to add:

~ Herbal remedies should be taken only after consulting with a Alternative care practioner, such as a Vaidya or a Homepath. In Ayurveda for example, the "One size fits all" approach is never taken nor recommended.

A clarification:

What we consider medicine today, has only been around for a 100 to 200 years. The herbal remedies and age old methods of treatment are proven for a much longer duration and known to cure the disease completely. Modern medicine on the other hand is only symptomatic cure (most of the time). Modern medicine is usally designed for profit, so a patient has to take these drugs all through his/her life. Traditional (Alternative) medicine on the other hand deals with the root of the problem(which maybe lifestyle related) and actually cuts the disease tree including the root, the trunk, the branches and the leaves.
