The essence of continuous preparation!
by Ramasubramaniam.S on Sep 30, 2004 01:15 AM   Permalink

Iam a Chartered accountant currently in PGP programme of IIM Ahmedabad - Class of 2006.

The essence is being equally good in all three areas tested in CAT - Maths, Verbal Ability and Data Interpretation.

For this continuous preparation for 3 months is required as a break of even one week reduces the speed at which questions can be cracked.

Plus understanding one's strengths and playing to it is an effective approach. The Mock Cats are ideal platforms to test the various exam strategies.

CAT is a test of smartness and not sheer skills. Like one has to understand the weightage for an easy and tough question is the same..So skim through the paper first and answer the easy ones..Trust me- Easier said than done!

And never give up till the last second in the exam hall as one more correct answer can make a huge difference!

All the Best.
