Dear Sandeep
I also had the same problem as urs last year but finally managed to get all the IIM calls.
One possible strategy i would suggest u is to try to juggle the time u devote to each section. For example, if english is your strength, may be u can have a 30:45:45 combination for Verbal, Maths & DI in that order .
If that does not help, go to the basics . make sure that u r extremely thorough with ur fundamentals in maths. for this, go through ur basic funda books or if need be , the maths text books again and again so that the concepts are etched in ur mind. But beware, dont mug up. try to understand the logic behind each and every problem .
Next, once u have taken a mock test , go through the solution carefully to ascertain what exactly went wrong.
If that also fails, try to focus on ur specific areas of strength in Quant and DI. Preapare them so well that u are able to answer almost anything under the sun on those topics.
Most importantly, if u cant solve a problem in quant or DI, dont take it as a challenge and devote disproportionate amount of time on it . Remember, CAT is all about smart and not hard work.
shud u feel like,contact me mr_sumitpathak@rediffmail
