CAT: A reality check
by Kashyap on Sep 25, 2004 01:43 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

maybe it might not be that tough to crack CAT. but there is a crucial difference altough it is being described as "simple test" it is not as simple as it has been described. i have attempted CAT twice in 1999 and 2000 and both the times questions in quantative ability were far tougher and incomprehensible for non engineering graduates. may be its time for IIMs to advertise that only engineers are eligible to write CAT and not the students for other streams.

Hey kashyap,
I think you are some what dissappointed with CAT. Don't worry, it's simple. Try hard till you get it. Nothing is impossible.
Being software professional, I'll tell you one thing, Whether y ou are an engineer or a batchelor degree holder in any descipline, it matters very little. It depends on how quickly you think and work out the problem in CAT. It's just 8th standard maths man... So there shouldn't be any problem.
"Good Luck for future"
