Diet....

If one is on diet, not necessarily the other one has to be on diet.We can adjust the dishes we make
avoiding excess quantity of oil.Besides, one can have
butter though other can have a pc.of bread without it.
Milk & curds without fat can be made use of leaving
fat aside for ghee.Even the person on diet can simplify the process.Instead of boaring everyone with
plain salad one can make Raita with same stuff using
fatless curd.If one has a Micro, one can enovate his
or her own style such as adding little oil in the stuff for cutlet and baking them in Micro instead of
deep frying. You get readymade Patra or make kothmir
wadi simply by steaming and then with greecing the plate same can be baked.Very Simple to adjust!!!!

Harshada,
I can understand your situation, coz I already faced similar conditions in my home too. It is not easy to convince your caring parents about dieting, but dieting does not mean that you have to cut the quantity of intake. Rather what I would advice is to replace the food with less fattier one. For example, you may ask your mum to cook brown rice for you as it is helpful in reducing weight. Also, you may take more of liquids along with your food, so that the overall quantity of intake would be the same as your parents may tell you, but the calorie intake would be lesser. I did the same thing by incorporating very diluted curd (Chaach) in my daily diet. You may also try sour Mango-water (Aam-Pana/Kerry-ka-paani). Also, you may eat fruits whenever you feel a craving for sweets or chocolates. Do not quit taking milk/milk products as they are a great source of nourishment. But try to cut on ghee and butter. Cheese is not that bad, u may take small amount of cheese. So friend, I think this may help you, for more queries, u may mail me at: lohiyagaurav@rediffmail.com
