Including a Test match in world cup finals
by techie Jr on Feb 26, 2007 11:49 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Currently WC final is a single match, and result mostly depends on how the team perfomed that day and a big dependency on weather.

Its does not look fair.

Instead, a test match which is the better way to test the individual/team skills, I suggest to change the WC rules (atleast final/semi) to INCLUDE a test. May be 3 ODIs and 1 Test, and some points in case of win/draw/loose for ODI/Test, and the final result needs to be evaluated accordingly..

What does you guys say about this idea?

Already many of people who were watching Cricket are now switching to soccer,NHL and other games which are just 2-3 hours including the analysis by commentators and highlights.People are losing interest in cricket as it is such a lengthy game which is 9 hours or more if it ODI..The only interesting aspect of cricket is world cup... If that also gets boring by including test matches then who will watch the game my buddy...And then there is match fixings going on due to which many ppl lost interest in the game.
My opinion is that the ODI's should also be scraped from next world cup and 20-20 over matches should be played which can generate interest among people around the world....
