Today among comments and counter-comments of playing-players, non-playing players, commentators, indian coach, bcci, media and even laymen. I wish to submit my point as under :-
1/ There is no excuse of bad performance by any player whether he is senior or junior during world cup or before.
And those player who are not performing since last 20 matches should be dropped from indian international %u201Ca%u201D team and advised them to play domestic cricket. Irrespective of his status even if he is a captain.
2/ At bcci anybody who has not played for india/ domestic must be dropped immediately. And no politician for any small or big job at bcci. No vacancy for any politicians please.
4/ India cricket should be divided into broad 4 cricketing zones.
North: j&k, punjab, delhi, harayana, rajasthan etc. South: kerla, tamilnadu, andaman nicobar, karnataka etc. East: arunachal pradesh, assam, west bengal etc. West: maharashtra, goa, madhya pradesh etc.
5/ The cricketing team who won 1983 world would be given the job of having a winning combination.
North dvn: headed by kapil - assistted by madan lal. South dvn: headed by kirmani and assisted by anil kumble. East: yashpal sharma assited by robin singh. West dvn: headed by gavasker assisted by ghavri..
[these are my suggestions but u can choose any body else]]
6/ Coach: the indian coach%u2019s job responsibiltiy is only towards fitment of players, and batting and bowling expertise. That%u2019s all. His role is totally behind the curtain.
7/ How to choose the team; Captain and 4 heads of zone. %u2013 total 5 persons.
Hence nation can fix the responsibility of team%u2019s performance on these 5 guys.
8/ Any player of any status, during the course of match or after, gives interview of any sort w/o permission of bcci. Should be banned for 3 months.
And if coach does, he too also have to bear financial penalty.
9/ Now coming back to indian team;
[a] we need metal tough ness.
[b] release of all sorts of family or non-family pressures on team individual.
[c] total fit player and most important %u201Cfat %u2013 free%u201D.
[d] bonus on above average performance.
[e] time commitment of all the players through-out the year.
[f] selection of top 30 players based on their national or international performances.
[g] very important %u2013 sponsored matches between all 4 zones where even international players are invited. Direct telecast on tv. Day and night matchs. In India or abroad.
[h] no cosy feelings toward senior cricketers. Selection of team should be on merit itself.
[i] hard batting practice for no.1 to no. 6.
[j] hard bowing practice to no. 7 to 10.
And please no blame-game. If u played bad u should say immediately sorry before any other pinpoints u.
And if u play good, the people back you automatically
And for media, we request you to treat players as humans only. Because they are from 18 to 30 yrs and they are not as shrewd as other persons from corporate society or other industry. So they are our kids and we should always encourage them
These are my pure personal observations, and it should be taken as sportingly.
And if needed, I may personally offer my services to at BCCI management.
