RR victory was not comfortable !
by jegadeesan durai on Jun 02, 2008 07:45 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

RR may be a good team but yesterday they won only due to sheer luck. CSK giving 3 lives to YP was the turning point and CSK was forced to play a big final within 20 hrs of performing a hi-voltage match in the semis and their energy levels were low. But RR had 48 hrs to relax.

Even the IPL league matches had a gap of 48 hrs for all teams but why there is no gap between second S/F and final ? The energy levels would have been different if the match is played after a day. RR just managed to win but it is not a convincing win for a champion. They struggled to win the cup and had no hopes till the last ball.

If you had seen the T20 world cup finals, where India won, we can that India won by luck going by your theory, when Misbah go out.
Boss, a win is a win.
Look at how Warne has mentored so many india unkown talents in RR team. Did you find even a single Indian captain doing that. Come on guys grow up.

1. If you give lives to your opponent you shouldn't say it is BAD LUCK. That's the way one loses the game.
2. The schedule was known to everybody since beginning be it CSK or anybody in second semifinal. Why nobody protested. Don't give lame excuses repeating Dhobi.

RR emerge out as winner under any circumstances. That has been the beauty of the the best team of the tournament. There has been instance where all top batsmen failed and 2 youngsters lead them to the end and won (vs MI). Let us be fare and not cry since we support CSK. Any team which was in the place of CSK, would have made similar reasons to cry. RR has been the team that won most number of matches. So, luck was not the factor, skill was the factor. Luck can only help in 1 or 2 games. Not in 14 games.
They were the winners even before the finals as they topped the table.
