Ganguly is still the MAHARAJA
by Manish Bansal on Sep 17, 2008 03:47 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Ganguly is a great player and is still the Maharaja and there is no denying this fact. He is fighter to the core and it is this attitude of his due to which he has proven his critics wrong each time. Australians are the preys which DADA likes to hunt the most. This is supported by records and can be verified by anybody:

1) He is the best Indian batsman on Australian soil.

2) He has scored maximum runs against Aussies.

3) He is the best Indian player against Australia.

4) Even the Australian coach(es) who have tried to harm DADA have got a punch straight into their face.

5) He is most successful Indian captain.

Considering the above it'll be absolutely foolish if DADA is not included in the playing eleven in the forthcoming series.

People have started commenting on the age of DADA. However, I feel that in sports whether a player is young or old is to be judged by his hunger to succeed and not by the number of times he has taken rounds around the Sun. Sports-men/women like Martina Navratilova, Pat Symcox, Clive Rice & so on and so forth have already proven this number of times. And for that matter DADA's hunger is far more than any youngster on the scene.

Rather than disqualifying him for his age, he should be included in the squad for he brings the experience of a senior player and the grit of a newcomer.

Infact, for the Test teams atleast, make him the Captain of the team and he will show to the world that he has many more matches to win for INDIA.

ONLY DRAVID, LAXMAN AND SEHWAG SCORES AGAINST QUALITY ATTACKS.

DADA SHUD JOIN BANGLDESH TEAM AS CAPTAIN SINCE MOST OF THE GUYS FROM BANGLADESH TEAM JOINING ICL

All said and done Dada remains the weak link of Indian team. He is not a consistent batsman. He plays uppish shots against fast bowlers indicating that he cannot cope pace. Lately it is seen he is faltering against muralitharan in his poor show against sri Lanka. His exclusion from the team is good ridance of bad rubbish. Mr. Bansal I doubt your cricketing sense for writing all these crap.

Look at test records and you will find:

you are putting FALSE FACTS.

We all know tendulkar, laxman and dravid have scored more runs at a better average against Austrlia home and away.
