Seperate IPL from BCCI
by Prasad on Nov 22, 2008 04:29 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

IPL should be seperated from BCCI. IPL and ICL can both be treated as club criket and BCCI can get a share of the revenues. BCCI should concern itself with only the national team i.e when the teams plays for India e.g. in tests , on-days, world cups (ODi, 20-20) and other cups. Players selected for national duty must come and paly for the national team. This is what happens in football. Such a split will do a lot of good for Indian and World cricket.

Prasad, i agree the bcci is a bully and happen to try to throw their weight around even when not necessary...
But BCCI is not a football association and mainly cos cricket is not football. The idea is to have a domestic circuit that is solely there to give you talent to play as a team.. that model is not followed in football.
