I was a great fan of Kapil and simply brilliant given the circumstances in which this innings he has scored - even after he was accused for match-fixing by Manoj Prabhakar, I did not believe.
But he supported Azhar after Azhar was banned for life for match fixing. I wondered why Kapil who never had good relationship with Azhar (just like Gavaskar) crying wolf for someone guility - maybe he was too! I wish he was not, but it got covered up. And his acquaintance with some bookie in SA only added smoke to fire.

Well - its all non-sense to blame BJP & RSS b'cas Azhar was a Muslim (though I don't like BJP or communal RSS). Its fact that Azhar was heavily involved so did Jadeja, Prabhakar, etc & they were duly punished like Cronje & Salim Mallik. There were so many muslims who played for India with dignity and pride (like Kirmani) & several others playing now.
Its easier to use religion to get out of one's sin because that seemed to be the only choice with all other options against them.

That's right! when he became the captain of the Indian cricket team, he wasn't a muslim. But when he was found to be involved in match fixing, he became a muslim. Bloody hypocrite!

Kapil made a ery fair statement because even today there was no proof on Azhar's involvement in Match fixing and there is no point in keeping Ban on him especially when others were relieved
