we need gangu and laxman in first test by their latest performance against SA in last test series, dravid has not played well last year averaging just 34 in 6 test series from nov 2006 against SA to march 2008 against SA. But his past record keeps him in the team

If India will go with 5 bowlers then definitely Dravid will be the wicket-keeper.
No chance for D.Karthik. Parthiv will get the chance first.
