Sachin era....
by Anurag Rathore on Jul 15, 2008 01:29 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Sachin has played with three generation cricketers.
He faced M.Marshall, I.Khan., I.Bothom, A.Kadir.
He Faced W.Akram, G.Macgrath, S.Pollock, Warne, Muralidharan, S.Akhtar, Walsh, Ambrose.
He faced M.Asif, Umar Gul, D.Steyn, Ntini, Lee, S.Clarke, M.Johnson.

Sachin can't compare with any player in the world. He is unique, he is best, he is god of modern cricket.

Yes he is not hitting sixes often, but despite that fact he scores run with 100 strike rate.

His presence in the team motivate the other players.

Ganguly is so lucky that he played with Sachin when Sachin was on peak. That time Ganguly was pressure free. No pressure for run rate.
Thats why he got so many hundreds with Sachin.

even we as indian cricket fans were lucky to have an opening pair of that calibure. sachin motivated sourav to open and he made full use of it, also during 1999,2000 sourav was making hundrers at will even more than sachin.

thats why u need genius like sachin to play in ur team which takes the other players also to another level

Intelligent captains place extra fielders on the off-side and catch him because he can't resist edging a rising delivery. Sehwag had the same disease, but is cured now. No wonder he has two scores above 300, like Lara and Bradman. Jealousy got his first 200 only in 2007.

that is why ganguly started coming down the track to bowlers like ntini, gillespi, eve brett lee. i remember an innings of ganguly 127 vs SA IN JOHHANESBURG where is single handedly destroyed SA bowling coming down the track to pacers and hitting them for sixes over point and cover

Sangakkara, as the inventor of the technique, will stand up to the stumps, even for fast bowlers, and will not allow 'standing out'.
