I agree. Mendis is not a big threat. Only one match can't decide his ability. He will be tested by Sachin, Ganguly, Dravid, Laxman which were not the part of ODI side. They are different from raina, uthappa, rohit etc.

To encourage him, he was given Asia cup - man of the series, ahead of Sangakkara (3 tons) and Raina (2 tons).
