The greats
by Barack Obama on Jul 06, 2008 11:21 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

Yuvi and Kaif partnership helped India win the Nat west trophy in England in 2002.
We lost in ten consecutive finals(ODIs) before winning Natwest Trophy.
Then we lost in ten consecutive finals(ODIs) after Natwest trophy and then won the CB series in Australia.
Source Cricinfo.

As someone correctly pointed out in a rediff discussion board (Thanks to that guy ). I am rewriting his statement.

SACHIN is great
SOURAV is great
DRAVID is great
We made them billionaires. They are the richest cricketers on earth. We worshipped them as Gods.

Still no world cup when they played. How much more attention they want.

dravid at least is a worthless rat and does not even deserve to be in dubai/bongdesh's eleven.

Neither did Brian Lara, Shaun Pollock, Allan Donald, Waqar Younis, Curtley Ambrose, Curtney Walsh, etc win any World Cups for their respective teams. Yet they will always be greatest of the game.

Laras, pollocks, donalds, waqars are all not billionaires, not worshipped and are not the highest paid. Pollock, donald, walsh, ambrose seldom lead their teams.

Is it their fault if the team does'nt support them. They played well but the team was not there at all to win the cup...Any player who scores the max no of runs in a world cup (Sachin),wat else can he do he is not a magician. So,dont blame the greats but accpet the reality the same team with out sachin's contribution wld have come out of the world cup in the first round itself.See what happend in 98 world cup semis till Sachin was there he carried Inidian hopes. But once he was out the team collapsed. As is in the test match against Pak..Once he got out due to Back pain the remaining wickets could'nt even score 12 runs....with these kind of teams u cannot expect the world cup and Sachin did play well its not his fault......thats the trurh...
