Gambhir is going to walk down the track and loft Mendis for sixes. Sehwag is going to do the same. As for Muralitharan, as long as our batsmen can read his doosra, everything will be fine. Indian batsmen are better players of spin than pace bowling.

It is a myth, the should be exploded.
I cannot recall the years, but the events are very vivid in my mind.
Last time, when England were here, in Mumbai Test, Indians were done in by none too great Shaun Udal and Monty Panesar. When Pakistan were here last, the Indians were again done in, by Shahid Afridi, and some unknown spinner at Bangaluru. Sachin Tendulkar, your God of Cricket, could not uproot anything in either match. Much ealier in '71-72, India almost lost against MCC at Chepauk, chasing 86 against spinners like Pat Pocock and Jack Birkenshaw.
When the pitch is turning, Indians are as bad players of spin as any other team.
