Australian arrogance
by subramanian radhakrishnan on Jan 22, 2008 07:44 PM   Permalink

Mathew Hyden was reported to have challenged India to beat them in Adelade Test. Hyden may not be knowing that once Bill Lawry told the press conference in New Delhi in the late 60s that he would win the match and go for fishing on the fifth day. Poor Lawyery's team was defeated on the fourth day itself and he has paid heavy price for his arragance.
Playing well is different and underating and challenging the opponents is difference. History will repeat. Let Australia play positive cricket with out undue support from the Umpires and let the better team wins.
