Sour Grapes...
by Tim on Jan 06, 2008 01:54 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

If we cannot bat for 60 overs then shame on us.

The way you guys write here really show that we are indeed a pathetic loser.

Keep it up guys. Keep shouting against the Ausies and the umpires. The fact is our team sucks and cannot deny that.

Every one there lives in their past glory and there is no talent.

May be you are all right we should stop playing against the Ausies and start playing against the Kenyans, Zimbabweans, Canadians, bangaladesh( Oh cant play them either), UAE, Scotland.

Pathetic.

Do not forget that we were 90 for 3 at tea with Dravid and Ganguly playing. What a coincidence that both were declared out when they were not.

Australians proved to be cheats. When Michael Clarke's was not a catch, they claimed that it was a catch. The stupid umpire took his word on the face of it.

Few overs later, when Ponting caught a ball off the pad (or rubbed off the edge of the glove, let us say), he grounded the ball before completing the catch. He had to cunning to claim and appeal to the umpire that it was a catch.

What a stupid comment from you. This is not the first time nor will this be the last time for Indian team to lose, but the multiplicity of decisions and all uniformly against us, with regularity and precision is what we are protesting against. This had happened in our previous tour to Aus Sachin was given out 3 times, this time entire team was made to pay, Jaffer was not out, and so on, these players live on cricket, it is their major source of income, and faulty decisions by umpires will impact their place. Also a game should be won or lost fair, one borderline decision going wrong can be condoned, (actually should not be) but so many decisions going bad in both innings of India is too much to tolerate. You are pathetic.

OK we are not saying the Indian team is awesome and is better than all. What is being said here is pretty straight forward. Yes India can bat 60 overs if we are not given 2 to 3 bad decisions against us to take out 2 top class batsmen.
Now Aussies were 124 for 6 in the first innings. They would have been 150 for 7 and would have most likely all out for 200. India scored 500 runs in the 2nd innings. Even with bad umpiring. Now if Aussies had scored even 500 in the second innings. We have effectively won the match. Correct me if I'm wrong but India scored 200 in the 2nd innings. Man yes we should not cry about bad decisions. All I'm asking is how many bad decisions went against Australia. Not even one. If you don't see that there is a problem here then you are blind like Bucknor. And by the way Bucknor is a a very wealthy blind man with all the cash he got out of the betting money he got paid.

By using the Bat that they hold in their hand. Dont flush anything outside the offside, dont get it on the pad. These two things are enough.

I dont know how old you are, but I have seen this for the past 40 years and Indians from then till now do not know how to play outside the off stump on bouncy wickets. Period.

Tim, you are so stupid... sorry for not respecting your age..you probably should go himalayas and do tapasya there...y r u still watching criicket... If indian batsmen cant play outside the offstump, then no other batsmen in the world can play that...Remember they might not be consistent, but still they are they are the best batsmen in the world...

That's absolutely untrue.

By and large in cricket you get good and bad decisions but never ever have I seen a match where ALL bogus decisions go against one team, whether batting or bowling. In this match India got rorted in ALL crucial junctures in the match and what's worse, everyone is pretending like this is a routine thing and no-one needs to be upset about it!

India outplayed Australia in every department of this match and had it not been for BIASED (not incompetent) umpiring India would've won the match inside 4 days! That's the truth (trust me, I've grown up in Australia, live in Sydney and have seen every ball of this Test match).

A big reason why we couldn't bat out 70 overs was that at a crucial juncture just when Dravid & Ganguly was settling in Dravid was out off a bogus decision! Hell we wouldn't have even had to save the game on the last day if Symonds the monkey was given out on the first day and Hussey yesterday!

This is a joke. I hope Aussies are made to pay like hell when they are next in India, monkey chants and all. I want Australia to come back next time beaten, battered and bruised by India, crying with their tails between their legs!

This is a joke.
