Cheerleading...and Indians
by Your Nemesis on Apr 24, 2008 05:58 PM   Permalink

The last sentence of the article says it all. Indians, by way of culture, tend to think every scantily clad women is promiscuous. Unless, our culture goes too 'modern', and untill we get to see our own mothers and sisters in minis, midis and cleavage revealing tops, we will never get the maturity to 'silently' admire the Oomp factor in other women's sexuality. Vocally passing dirty comments on women in western attire(read minis/midis) is a blatantly ugly display of our cultural degeneration. So, India is definitely not ready for Cheerleaders.

Cheerleading is an American concept, which will suit only the American sport, in American mainland. Cheerleaders seem more for cheering the players than for cheering the crowd. American culture is perfectly ok, even if the post game victory celebrations include players of the winning team screwing cheerleaders of the opposite team. As for Indian crickers, we don't need an exlcusive set of beauties in the disguise of cheerleaders. Our Bollywood beauties have always been fulfilling that role since time immemorial.
