IPL is a threat to India Unity

I strongly like all of friends in rediff to condemn IPL for two reason first this will lead to regionlism already our country has lot of problem and secondly it will deteroite the standard of cricket and make it a money game already the way in which there was auction of cricketers reminds us of primitive days when slaves were purchased and sold

You may have a point but let us look back at EPL soccer on which IPL is loosely based...I dont think it has created any regional upheavals there. If the people are foolish to believe and practise regionalism, why blame cricket for it!! It starts with regional political parties and more so lets not make cricket a scapegoat here.

yes, it is surely commercialization to the hilt but then it has not started yet...it started decades back and it is only being polished further.

Yes like gladiators. Not allowing website is foolishness as the people following the matches will reduce. Thus decreasing the interest in the game in the long run. (which anyway is better for the country.) ARUP
