Dont watch IPL matches
by shashi kant on Apr 08, 2008 08:04 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

IPL was never created to promote cricket. It was only created because there was a genuine fear in the BCCI camp because of ICL.
IPL is now merely a new business model with cricket and cricketers being the products and services. The BCCI has shamelessly adopted autocratic ways to make as much money as possible. Just think, how can they take away the right from an ICL player to represent his country.
Allthoughits very tempting to watch your favourite stars play, I would still refrain from watching these matches. The IPL is simply taking the thrill out of cricket. Its a terrible showcase of money power. Nobody is talking of cricket here. Music Videos, Star Attractions, Cricketers prices, etc etc.. have become the order of the day.
All in all, I would say IPL truly SUCKS big time.

Shashi Kant, I totally agree with you. IPL is just business, a mockery in the name of cricket, created to due fear of ICL. IPL is club criket, as is the ICL. But when players belonging to ICL have been banned by various Boards to play even domestic cricket, why should not the players participating in IPL be banned?

And also this is our own hard money. At the end of the day this promoter are taking money from us and giving to the Player. And this Indian player (As I know ) never contribute, they put in their own business/bank.
