Cricinfo and Rediff
by pizzaboy on Apr 08, 2008 09:58 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

My feeling is cricinfo and rediff can't survive if they are not covering live text commentary or scores. No one will visit the site. It will interesting to see what these online websites will do now. Will they back ICL now which they ignored for IPL till now? This is a real wakeup call for all these sites for ignoring ICL. It looks like the way ICL oranized the tournament and has given chance to young domestic players, the future is bright for ICL. IPL may be popular for now and will survive for some more time till all current senior's retire.

That is a great move by IPL , whether rediff or cricinfo covers the tourney or not , impact is very less ; to be frank people used to watch these sites only if they are in office; if you are in home you would prefer to watch it on TV

Good Point .... Rediff & Cricinfo ignored ICL ... Giving low coverage to ICL ..... Now IPL has banned these websites .... what a slap on the face of Free Press ..... The question is will the Media be united & stand up against the bullying tactics of the BCCI ????
