I'm not ridiculing Dravid. But he have truly been a burden on the team since the DLF Cup in September 2006. He have hardly won any games during this period. Look at the way he have performed -
Performance since September 2006-
Tests - Ave = 34.55 ODI's - Ave = 33.80
Add to that 1 Test century against Bangladesh during this period. He really needs to start performing if he wants to retian his place even in the Test team.

Dravid's downfall actually began in October 2004 series against Australia when Kasprowicz and Gillespie repeatedly got him cheaply...
He needs to score some important knocks if he has to retain his place in team...same for VVS too! Only saving grace was Ganguly....

Well, even then Dravid was consistent till September 2006. But after that, he suddenly went downhill. It's been disgraceful for him to perform the way he have been since September 2006.

Dravid was always a mental case. If Ganguly came played at No. 3, he would have score 12000 runs by now and won many more matches for India. For almost a decade, he has been playing with the tail.
