Great Point. But shallow. If, at all somebody started measuring GDP in terms of Happiness units, rather than dollars and cents. They certainly have improved the GDP of India. The average guy on the street, might not get a crore ruppee that Yuvraj got, but those few moments of pride and happiness that he got watching Yuvraj hit those sixes or India winning the cup - are worth more than what a crore ruppees would have bought him. None of these actors, cricketers, journalists, politicians can change my life drastically in terms of dollars and cents, but if they give me and the average guy on the street -- those moments to cherish and make me feel a part of something big -- I think they have done more than what they would do by giving just one of us a house to live in.
So for that my friend, spread optimism and make people feel good, than lowering the GDP of the country.
