I agree ive never seen an entire cricket match since I left india when I was 8 & I just got bored with it before with 20-30 people coming to our house to watch it on our color tv(back in 96-97) so it was never something I looked forward to.
These days I like to view the score cards & I get much more joy from that then wathcing the games. I am from hyd so I will be a bit "regionalist" (who in india isnt to their own right?) & I am a fan of VVS Laxman. He isnt as well liked as other cricketers & I could care less about that but when he is taken out to make room for others it annoys me. If you compare stats his avg is decent. When ganguly got kicked out people were in an uproar over it but when laxman gets out no one says anything. Im glad his supporters dont it makes us look like idiots saying hes better than the rest of the team. He isnt but he is a good player & deserves what he has earned.
I followed his stint at lancashire & he did very well & helped lancashire with a 100 in their 2nd inns & they fell short by 25 runs. He performed better than ganguly with his stint in county cricket. So if he gets left out of the aus tour I will be annoyed.

when ganguly got kicked out it was the Bengalis who stood up for him and created a shockwave. if u hydrabadis can do that sure do that. no one is stopping u guys.

Laxman has more runs than dravid & ganguly in 10 less matches. His avg of 46.18 is only .26 less than sachins whose avg is 46.44 while dravids & gangulys are 28.29 & 22.31. Sachin has 7 centuries from 47 matches & laxman has 4 from 21(19 innings) & dravid & ganguly both have 1 each. Laxmans SR is also better than dravids & gangulys & is only 10 less than sachins.
So if you look at the stats laxman is a better player than dravid & ganguly against aus. Why wouldnt you pick him huh? Dont tell me that they are fake or something & im using these stats some sort of propaganda. Im just proving facts to show that he is a good player.
