If people want to celebrate, let them do so. It is not like these people are on the streets and celebrating every day. May be you may want to write about people wasting their time in going to political meetings and movies. Thousands of man hours is wasted when people go to movies...but man, movie is an industry too. Today cricket is a business and industry by itself. Just people like to go to a musicial show they go to a cricket match. It is an entertainment. Let them enjoy. Let them celebrate.

crickets. yes as u compare that ckt is like an entertainment such as movie, the same ckt is converted into a melodrama event. in movies, everything is fake, similarly here also matches are fixed to increase the public interest, for establishing the t20 version, indo-pak final is 'arranged' and more fuel is added to ppl's psychology by declaring the match as a dharma yuddha.

i think u dont know how to read. the author did not deny the celebrations of viewers but only said that a lot of money gets poured into a game which is in away worthless when so many people are suffering. if i was the captain i wud hav advised my team to share the extra money among the poor who actually need it because this was only a bonus. if not all of it atleast a part of it. instead of giving Yuvraj a Porshe 911, the money could have been used to help people who dont even have slippers to wear wen they walk in the hot sun.

I think you did not get my message. Stop people telling what they should do with their money. BCCI is a private body and let them decide on how they want to celebrate and spend their money. In the meantime, fight with your Govt to stop them from stealing money from various Hindu Temples, work with your local Temples so that money contributed to Temples can be used locally for the needy. FYI - Lalit has already set up charities and is giving money to the needy in Rajastan. Again, it is Lalit who is paying the money out of his pocket. Stop telling how people should spend their money
