In hockey, India has won the World Cup only once in 3rd World Cup in 1975. It was placed second in the 2nd World Cup in 1973 & was placed 3rd in 1st World Cup in 1975. Since 1975, India has not even reached the semifinals of any World Cup Hockey. Even in the Olympics, India has not won any medals since 1988. Since 1988, it has not even qualified for semi finals. Since 2000, it has failed to even qualify for Olympics. Only this year, because of Asia Cup victory where India beat South Korea 7-2, India has qualified for Olympics next year.
Sreesanth "could" have dropped the catch, I agree. But did he? Speculations can go to any level. If Robin Uthappa would have caught that very difficult chance, Misbah would have been out long back & 5 runs margin would be 15-25-35 run margin. If Virendra Sehwag was not injured against Australia, then he would have played & he would have scored a double ton. Can I speculate this as well? If you can speculate that much, maybe I can. If wishes were horses, then beggars would be king.
