The final shot by Misbah was a real giveaway. It looked like he was gifting the catch to Sreesanth. He just lobbed the ball to Sreesanth. Misbah could have easily hoiked to long leg for a six or pulled it sqaure leg for a four. But it was gentle shot making sure he made it easy for Sreesanth to catch the ball. It looked very suspicious. 4 balls and only six runs to score but then you gift the wicket away? Match fixing? Looks likely. Pakistan was very much in control of the match after those 6 sixes in the end stage. But then they lose? Looks fishy.

To India, This is not true. Infact Misbah took position before the ball was bowled and J Sharma adjusted the length and direction of his delivery well to fox Misbah into a false shot. (He bowled a slower one too). This is the fact and Sharma deserves all accolades.

you are not fit to have the name u have taken. It is below dignity to reply to your crap, but it is difficult not to slap your comments. Why would Pak hit 6 sixes in the first place if the game was fixed? And is this book-cricket? "..could have easily hoiked to long leg for six?...". Please watch Cartoon Network or POGO, and leave cricket to people who have played the game or know something about it.

Mr.India if you think the match was fixed then why did you watch the match till last over. If match was fixed then why misbah and tanvir hit sixes in harbhajan's amd srisanth's over. It was a mishit in joginder's over by misbah.

Well Ritesh, I think it is irresponsible, and very unfair on the players, to make claims that the match was fixed.
One thing that is true is that, the only way for twenty20 to catch up is, for India winning the world cup, and nothing better than beating pakistan in the final. With India having won the cup, suddenly twenty20 becomes a format of the game that has to be taken seriously, because India takes it seriously. Ofcourse, India has to take it seriously to gain any respect for this triumph. Also, from now on, twenty20, is commercially viable and will stay, something that the ICC would want. I am not sure this would have happened is India lost in the first round.
However, pulling off such a fix officially is impossible and I don't think bookies have anything to gain in making the future of twenty20 secure. In short, it is highly improbable we saw a fixed tournament or match.

Bookies don't have anything to gain? Lots of new leagues, lots of matches, lots of bets and lots of money to be made. Sounds to me like they have everything to gain.
Although I can't help thinking that it all ended up a little too picture perfect, I'd rather give the benefit of doubt to our young side and congratulate them on some excellent performances.

You are right, Ravi. I didn't think completely, I guess.
