minimize Muffs
by bhagwan majila on Sep 04, 2007 11:14 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

It is a marvel that a side averaging two dropped catches per game is still in contention for the series. There were four muffs at Bristol, one dolly at Edgbaston, another gem at Old Trafford and three more at Leeds. Four of these have been in the slips (two to Tendulkar and two to Ganguly) and three more in the deep. India need to score enough runs to make up for four more fluffs in the next two games

It was four again in the fourth match.
Sachin, Saurav, Agarkar & one went through Ganguly & Dhoni with both of them not trying for it... it was basically Dhoini's catch. though he had equalled the world record for 6 dismissals, he should have created a new world record by taking 7 dismissals.
both matches in which india had won, they have scored in excess of 320 Runs basically that accomodated 4 dropped catches.
if this is the case in 20-20, dropped catches will definitely hurt more in 20-20
