During the Mini World Cup in 1985 in Australia, India and Pakistan had reached the finals. During the final match, a placcard was shown by the Australian crowd which read "FINALS BETWEEN BUS DRIVERS AND TRAM CONDUCTORS". Was it not a racist comment by the Australians? Tell Ponting and the Aussie Manager to inculcate sporting spirit.

Yes - it is racist. The world is less tolerant now than what it was 22 years back. Our RJ friend in Delhi who made that racist remark against gurkhas learnt it to his peril very recently.

Hi anurag are you an Indian or Indian working for the English or an overtly friendly Indian trying for visa. I think it is fine but remember the indian crowd also gets aroused by the boorish behaviour of your players(Australians) on the field it leaves a very bad taste in the mouth. Let us call a spade as spade. DOing monkey chants is a boorish behaviour and not racial. Calling a player black monkey and getting away with it is racial, mental disintegration of a player is much more worse than that( ask Murlidharan) not accepting what you give is rubbish. Let those guys keep their trap shut and I will vouch for the behaviour of my countrymen. let us not try to be pseudo protectors of racism when the very definition of racism is blurred in this context

I am not trying to defend that behaviour but what what i feel is the australians instigated and fuelled this controversy right after the T20 world cup. They had their arses burning after the loss and I think it is still not doused unfortunately our guys also didnt take their catches properly or else they had them down in most matches but couldnt finish at the end. in all the matches except one they had picked up prized wickets and then allowed some easy chances go begging. I dont have any personal hard feeling. I am just trying to be neutral
