Three Cheers for India but beware of Australia
by Sai Prakash on Nov 16, 2007 01:41 PM   Permalink | Hide replies

Indian team has done us proud by beating our Dushmans but now we must start thinking about Aus in Aus.
Hope our foolish Indian Boeard tells the groundsmen to prepare hard, grassy pitches for the 3 Tests versus Pak so that our Batsmen get used to the chin music they will face in Australia.
I think if we play fighting cricket like we have been doing offlate, the Aus bowlers will have a tough time against Dravid, Laxman, Sachin and Karthik. Ganguly and Jaffer I think will be flops, though I hope they surprise me.
Zaheer, Sree and RP will be a good attack and Kumble off course is ever reliable and also remember he was the highest wicket taker in our last series (in Aus)with 24 wickets.Just hope and pray Harbhajan bowls well. His defensive bowling like in the ODIs is no use, he will have to flight and attack the batsmen.
I feel it will be aclosely fought series but the key is the FIRST TEST MATCH and how our Batting lineup copes.Any score above 350 in our first Batting stint and it will be a good series, I feel.
Waiting for a mouth watering series. Will wait with a hot cup of coffee, early morning for the first test match in Melbourne (starts at around 5.00 a.m.)

Sorry but I am not so hopeful.Last time all three and Laxman were in their prime. So this time the failure to groom young guys is going to show.Remember the batting failures in Sa.One thing may help.Australian pitches have slowed down, even Perth.
Worse is the bowling.Look at SL's plight. It has a better attack then us and are getting mauled.
