Does it matter if he cannot make 100?
by arjun on Nov 16, 2007 12:31 AM   Permalink | Hide replies

The sweet thing is India won and sachin contributed. It is absolute bulshit to even think he missed century as it would not matter if india lost. Some idiots in media never understand this importance of placing country before indivudual-thats where imran or viv richards score over gavaskar or tendulkar-ratio of good performances to their role in teams winning.Goal is to win and indivudual records do not matter in a team game.Period.

Do you understand what you are talking about. Viv Richards, when he played was also accused of being arrogant etc and same with Imran. Every performer is labelled because ordinary mortals are given to jealousy. Your opinion is also either out of naivete, ignorance, or jealousy.

It does man. It does. If he didn't get out on 99 in the 2nd one dayer, India would go on to score 350 or so. His presence is vital for fast scoring rate.

He plays like an expert now and he is getting better with age -- much like a chess player.
